Lakers Podcast: Lakers Draft Lottery Odds In Danger?

1 Min Read

The Los Angeles Lakers are in the midst of a lost season, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t have anything to gain. Their 2017 first round pick goes to the Philadelphia 76ers unless it lands in the top three, which currently has a 55.8 percent chance of happening because the Lakers have the second-to-worst record in the league.

However, the Phoenix Suns are tanking hard and are a real threat to catch the Lakers in the standings. They have shut down guard Eric Bledsoe for the season and are now fielding the youngest starting five in NBA history, which has, in part, caused them to lose their last six games in a row. We take a look at just what needs to happen in order for Los Angeles to hang onto their draft lottery odds, plus we dig into whether or not the Brooklyn Nets could shock everyone and catch the Lakers in the standings.
