The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Golden State Warriors Friday night, 102-95, increasing their record to 6-7 through 13 games. Pau Gasol scored 24 points in the win and will be donating $24,000 for U.N.I.C.E.F. relief efforts in the devastating aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan. Gasol says he definitely had an extra motivation of scoring for the Philippines.
Nick Young had another successful night off the bench, scoring 21 points, averaging over 15 points per game through the past five games. In his reserve role, he’s averaging 17.1 points this season. Young was all smiles post-game and even talked about hearing singer Rihanna call out “Swaggy P!” Lakers head coach Mike D’Antoni discusses what it’s been like to coach Young.
