Following media day on Sept. 29, the Los Angeles Lakers will get their training camp underway with some new faces competing for a roster spots. The Lakers are more than likely done making moves this off-season, but they could sign one or two players that make an impression in training camp.

One player that could get an invite to Lakers training camp is Alonzo Gee, according to Sam Amico of Fox Sports:
Don't be surprised if Alonzo Gee ends up in camp with Lakers. Byron Scott a fan during their time with Cavs.

As Amico mentions, Gee played for Byron Scott back in Cleveland. Scott liked what he saw out of Gee and that could led to the team reaching out to the free agent with a camp invite.
Gee has bounced around quite a bit over the summer being traded three times before landing with the Sacramento Kings. In order to make room for LeBron James in Cleveland, the Cavaliers sent Gee to the New Orleans Pelicans back on July 11 and then was shipped to the Houston Rockets four days later.
Earlier this week, Gee was traded along with Scotty Hopson to the Kings in exchange for Jason Terry and draft picks. Gee’s journey won’t stop in California’s capital with Sacramento expected to release the 27-year-old.
The Lakers have a need at small forward and could use a player of Gee’s caliber if available. Wesley Johnson will likely be the starter at the three spot for Los Angeles, but Gee could make a case to be the starter or at least the first option off the bench with a solid camp and preseason.
