After selecting D’Angelo Russell over Jahlil Okafor at the NBA Draft, the Lakers were looking to add frontcourt players to play alongside Julius Randle. While the Lakers were unable to land an All-Star, Hibbert and Bass are solid veterans that will improve the team’s depth.
With the additions of Hibbert, Williams and Bass, the Lakers could potentially be involved in a Jeremy Lin sign-and-trade with the Dallas Mavericks.
Appearing in all 82 games for the Boston Celtics this past season, Bass averaged 10.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in 23.5 minutes.
