According to The Palm Beach Post it seems the Lakers may have more than LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to deal with Thursday night when they travel to Miami to take on the Heat.

Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra stated that Eddy Curry may “possibly” make his Heat debut Thursday night against the Lakers. Curry, who has battled chronic weight problems his entire career, hasn’t played yet this season.

Curry, who has reportedly exceeded 400 pounds before, is much lighter and ready for NBA action. Still, Curry has only played 10 games in the last three NBA seasons, so he might have a little trouble shaking the rust off.

If Curry does make his debut on Thursday it certainly won’t be an easy one. He will find himself up against the Lakers’ Andrew Bynum, who is currently leading the way in All-Star votes for the center position in the Western Conference.

While Spoelstra hasn’t been definitive on whether or not Curry will play, there’s no doubt Miami could use his size against the intimidating Los Angeles frontcourt.
