Neck and ankle injuries have limited his effectives as the Lakers staff is opting to keep Nash out of the second night of back-to-backs as a way to keep him fresh for the rest of the season. However, with reserve point guard Jordan Farmar clearly outplaying him, Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld.com is hearing he might be on the trading block already:
Steve Nash is another vet who may be traded this year. I’ve heard Toronto as a possible landing spot for Nash from multiple league sources.

Nash is in the second year of a three-year, $27 million contract that he signed last season as the Lakers gave up multiple draft picks to get him from the Phoenix Suns. Nobody could’ve imagined that Nash would deteriorate the way he has and being from Canada, it makes sense the Raptors would be interested in him.
The Raptors were one of the rumored teams after him last season and with the Lakers clearing cap space for a run at the likes of Carmelo Anthony and possibly LeBron James next season, clearing Nash’s salary would be beneficial.
It’ll be interesting to see how Mike D’Antoni uses his veteran point guard going forward and it sounds like the Lakers are already looking to move him to another team.
