It’s no secret that the Lakers are thin at the point guard position this season. The recent injury to Steve Blake certainly doesn’t help matters much, either.

Now, according to Chris Tomasson of Fox Sports, it’s being reported that the Lakers might be interested in veteran point guard Andre Miller Miller is not happy coming off the bench in Denver, and would like the opportunity to start.

“At this point in my career, I don’t see myself as a backup,” Miller said. The veteran guard went on to say that he doesn’t see himself playing with the Nuggets beyond this season.

This could cause Denver to look to trade Miller, and the Lakers could be a possible suitor. With Blake out for a month and Derek Fisher’s rapidly decreasing production, the team certainly could use some help at point guard.

But would another veteran guard with an inconsistent outside shot be a good fit for L.A.? And, when Blake returns the Lakers will have four guards fighting for playing time. Miller’s arrival would certainly delegate young Darius Morris to the bench, leaving Fisher, Miller and ultimately Blake fighting for minutes.
