The Los Angeles Lakers may not have the money to sign a marquee free-agent like Steve Nash or Deron Williams, but they do have the cap space needed to add some valuable role players.
One name surfacing around is Nick Young, a player who last suited up for the Los Angeles Clippers. Young was a nice piece to the Clippers team this post-season and the Lakers would improve their bench by adding him.
The front office has contacted Young’s agent and it could sign the USC Trojan to a mini mid-level exception.
The Lakers have talked to agent Mark Bartelstein about his client, Nick Young. Lakers could only spend the mini mid level ($3 mill) on him

Last season Young averaged 14.2 points while with the Wizards and Clippers towards the end of the season. Young is someone who can create his own shot and the Lakers should make a major push for him.
