Lakers Rumors & News Recap: How the Summer League Team is Doing So Far

The Lakers summer league team lost last night to the Heat 106-56. With the Lakers making a third of the total points that night, the game marked another disappointing loss, setting L.A. back to 0-3 in Summer League games. They had already suffered losses to the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings. Daniel Buerge offers a great recap of the game last night, detailing where the team went wrong and how they were never able to recover. It is surprising to see players who are fighting to earn a spot on the Lakers roster play this badly overall. So, what does Mike Brown think of the summer league? Lakers Nation caught up with him after yesterday’s loss to hear what he had to say.

The Lakers 50-point loss last night was the largest margin of victory in a NBA Summer League game. But Lakers center Robert Sacre sees the positives and feels that these games are a learning experience. The Lakers go up against the San Antonio Spurs, who are 1-0, this afternoon. After being selected as the 60th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft, Sacre has ambition to play hard. Hopefully today’s game and the remaining game against the Clippers end on a high note.
