The Los Angeles Lakers have worked out three of the top-five prospects in the upcoming 2015 NBA Draft as of Tuesday. Emmanuel Mudiay, D’Angelo Russell, and Jahlil Okafor have all taken their turns showing the Lakers brass what they’re capable of, but Karl-Anthony Towns has yet to schedule a workout with the team.

According to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters, the Lakers have not been able to bring him in as of yet:

Despite the team’s unsuccessful attempts to bring in Towns, the Lakers will continue to try to schedule a workout with arguably the top prospect in the upcoming draft, via Winters:
Kupchak says he is very hopeful they'll be able to schedule a workout w/ Karl-Anthony Towns before June 25th.

With the Minnesota Timberwolves rumored to still be on the fence about who they may draft on June 25, there’s a chance that Towns may end up falling to the Lakers. Towns is considered to be the total package the potential to be a dominant force on both sides of the floor, but Okafor is the more polished offensive player and therefore is expected to make an impact immediately next season.
The Lakers are in an ideal situation with the possibility to bring in one of these two top centers, but Minnesota will control the team’s fate unless a trade is made.
