The Los Angeles Lakers concluded the preseason with a 136-97 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night at Honda Center, a disappointing finish to their preseason finale. The Lakers gave up easy buckets in transition and allowed the Warriors to put their stamp on the game from the gates.

“We had an opportunity tonight to show if we’ve grown as a team, and I told them we fell flat on our face,” head coach Byron Scott said after the game. “I was very disappointed in the way we reacted as a team. When we started getting down guys seemed to go their own separate ways and we weren’t together as a group and that was very disheartening for me.”

Jordan Clarkson also left the game with a sprained right shoulder, and is expected to receive an MRI on Friday to diagnose the severity of the sprain, which Clarkson discusses in the videos below. Roy Hibbert, Byron Scott and D’Angelo Russell also discuss their takeaways from the preseason.

The Lakers finish the preseason with an official record of 2-5, since their last game against the Golden State Warriors in San Diego was called off during the third quarter, due to unsafe floor conditions, despite the Lakers being ahead 85-70. The Lakers first regular season game is October 28th against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
