Backstage: Lakers is a television series produced by Time Warner Cable SportsNet that provides a behind the scenes look at the Los Angeles Lakers.

With Kobe Bryant announcing he will retire at the end of the 2015-16 NBA season, Time Warner Cable SportsNet was recently able to join the five-time champion as he commuted to Staples Center and prepared for a game in the video above.

While Bryant is dealing with a sore Achilles and shoulder, he is intent on playing every game possible as the season has reached its midway point. Although the Lakers are struggling this season, fans around the world are showing their appreciation for one of the greatest players of all-time.

With the Lakers facing the Sacramento Kings, the latest episode of Backstage: Lakers airs tonight (Jan. 20) at 5:00 PM PST on Time Warner Cable SportsNet.
