Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant decided to call it a career after the 2015-16 NBA season after spending 20 seasons in the purple and gold.

With his basketball career behind him, Bryant has now found something else to dedicate his time to, and as he has said in the past, it has to do with storytelling and filmmaking.

In correlation with ESPN, Bryant debuted his new project titled “Canvas”, a six=part video series on Christmas Day, with the first video being called “Guarding the Greats.”

He unveiled the second video on Sunday, titled “Canvas City: Musecage” and it may not have been what you expected it to be. In the video Bryant speaks with a small snake puppet named “Little Mamba” about dark and light muses, and how they play into the NBA, via Youtube:

He also breaks down a couple NBA greats right now in Russell Westbrook and James Harden with the puppet:

In an interview with Baxter Holmes of ESPN, Bryant explained why making videos aimed at kids appealed to him:

“Sometimes it gets a little redundant to be the one always telling your kids, ‘This is what you do; this is how you shoot; this is how should think about this or that,'” Bryant says. “So I said it would be awesome just to create a show. If I had a show that my kids could watch and learn how to better their best, what would that show entail? It would entail songs. It would entail animation, puppetry, comedy and a lot of visual representations of things they should be learning.”

Bryant added that his daughters helped him with the project, as he bounced certain ideas off of them and relied on them for criticism.

He also said that he has begun working on the next video, and while he would not reveal any details about what it is going to be about, he is excited to see what he and his team can make.
