The Los Angeles Lakers placed fourth overall for team merchandise sold and Lonzo Ball had the 12th-most popular jersey during the 2017-18 season.

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors topped the lists of most popular jerseys and team merchandise, marking the third consecutive regular season Curry and Golden State took that honor. The rankings were based on NBAStore.com sales since the beginning of the season.

Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James (No. 2), Warriors’ Kevin Durant (No. 3), the Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo (No. 4) and the Boston Celtics’ Kyrie Irving (No. 5) round out the top five of player jersey sales.

Sandwiched between the Warriors and Lakers for team sales are the Cavaliers (second) and Philadelphia 76ers (third).

During the holidays, the Lakers ranked third in merchandise sales and Ball’s jersey was the 11th-most popular. Last season, the Lakers finished sixth in team sales.

Despite this being a fifth consecutive season in which they missed the playoffs, the Lakers’ arrow undeniably is pointing up. Ball is part of a young core that also includes Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma.

Julius Randle was arguably the team’s best player this season, and is very much at the center of the Lakers’ growth and improvement, should he be re-signed as a restricted free agent this summer.
