The Los Angeles Lakers wrap up their three game road trip with a visit to Boston for a matchup with the Celtics. The two franchises are bitter rivals with a storied history, but both teams appear far removed from their glory days. The Celtics are a respectable sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, but are considered far removed from title contention. The Lakers, on the other hand, have the second-worst record in the league (5-27), and are clearly deep into a rebuilding phase.
The game does feature some intrigue apart from the nostalgia radiating from any Lakers vs. Celtics tilt, as this will be Kobe Bryant’s last visit to Boston before he retires at the end of the season. Will Kobe and the young Lakers have a surprise for the surging Celtics?
