Head coach Luke Walton best described the Los Angeles Lakers 109-85 loss to the Golden State Warriors as a “Thanksgiving food hangover.” The Lakers were without three of their starters: D’Angelo Russell (sore knee), Julius Randle (hip pointer) and Nick Young (sprained toe).

Jordan Clarkson received his first start of the 2016-17 season, and led the team with 20 points, the sixth time he has been the Lakers leading scorer this season. Brandon Ingram also received his second start of his rookie campaign finishing with eight points (on 3-18 shooting) and nine rebounds (career-high).

After the game, Walton gives his thoughts on Ingram’s performance, and where he’s seen Ingram improve defensively. Ingram talks about going up against the best team in the league for the third time this season and where he knows he needs to improve defensively.

The Lakers will return to Staples Center on Sunday to face the Atlanta Hawks, but it’s unclear whether Julius Randle or Nick Young will be available.
