The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 108-103 on the second afternoon of a back-to-back at Staples Center Sunday. Three Lakers finished with double-doubles and D’Angelo Russell led the way with 28 points, six rebounds and five assists.
After the game, head coach Luke Walton commended Russell for his recent growth in being more professional, as well as affecting the game whether or not he’s having a good shooting night. Russell says being professional at all times is something he knows he can get better at, and is something he’s working on.
Thomas Robinson finished with his first double-double of the season (12 points, 10 rebounds) and thanks Walton for giving him the opportunities to showcase his skillset. Brandon Ingram who played just 23 minutes, but scored 13 points, talks about how close he is to feeling 100 percent healthy since dealing with his patellar tendinitis.
