The Los Angeles Lakers start off the 2015-2016 NBA season against No. 1 draft pick Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Los Angeles had an up-and-down preseason, but are hoping that with a little luck (and good health) they can exceed the modest expectations that have been placed upon them. After some contemplation, head coach Byron Scott decided that the Lakers would use a starting five consisting of Kobe Bryant, Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle, Roy Hibbert, and D’Angelo Russell.
Bryant will set an NBA-record for the most seasons played with one team (20) tonight, and will be returning from a bruised leg that sidelined him for the final three games of the preseason. Backup guard Marcelo Huertas is still dealing with some hamstring issues, but should be good to play.
