The Los Angeles Lakers broke their losing streak on Tuesday night, beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 119-115, behind Kobe Bryant’s seven three-pointers, finishing with a season-high 38 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals. Bryant joined Michael Jordan, Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as just the fourth player aged 37 or older to record at least 35 points, five rebounds, five assists in a game in the last 30 seasons.

The 66 first half points were a season-high for the Lakers, as were the 39 points in the second quarter (most points scored in any quarter this season). Julius Randle had 15 points and 12 rebounds for his 19th double-double of the season. Since being re-inserted into the starting lineup, Randle has had six double-doubles.

Despite not finishing the game, D’Angelo Russell came out aggressive from the start, leading the bench with 18 points on 6-12 shooting, including two three-pointers. After the game, Bryant talks about what he’s been telling the young rookie.
