Los Angeles Lakers Vs. Minnesota Timberwolves Postgame (VIDEOS)

It was an emotional night at Staples Center as D’Angelo Russell sunk a game-winning buzzer-beater to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 110-109, on the same day he learned of his grandmother’s passing. Russell had intended to miss the game, and fly back to his home in Louisville, Kentucky, but his family convinced him to play.

Just seconds before Russell sent up a prayer, Metta World Peace came up short on a wide open corner three-pointer, followed by a Julius Randle offensive rebound that he swung out to Russell for the game-winner. It was the Lakers fourth consecutive win, the first time they’ve had a four-game winning streak since the 2012-2013 season.

Head coach Luke Walton talks about the emotions in that moment, and seeing Russell charge through the stands to embrace his family, and his teammates discuss what it was like to be a part of it.

Tyler Ennis led the way on Sunday night with a career-high 20 points to go along with five assists and two rebounds. Check out all of our videos after the game.
