The Los Angeles Lakers lost 120-85 to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night at Staples Center, but you wouldn’t know it by listening to Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant talk about matching up against one another after the game.
In the post-game videos below, Bryant raves about just how much fun that matchup is for him, and Durant says the five-time NBA champion challenges him to be a better basketball player.
Despite a 35-point loss, Lakers head coach Byron Scott was satisfied with his team’s effort on Wednesday night and discusses the challenge of finding the balance of Kobe isolation plays and ball movement. With both Julius Randle and Nick Young out for the game, Scott said the Lakers definitely missed their energy, intensity and scoring.
D’Angelo Russell led the bench with 18 points, and hit four three-pointers, the third time the rookie has hit at least four three-pointers in a game in his career. After the game, Russell talks about what the Lakers need to change for Lakers vs. Clippers on Christmas Day.
