The Los Angeles Lakers kept their home record (3-0) intact on Sunday night, after beating the Phoenix Suns 119-108, despite Devin Booker going off for a career-high 39 points. The Lakers (4-3) are now over .500 through multiple games for the first time since December 6th, 2013.

After the game, D’Angelo Russell said there is an entirely new atmosphere, which he attributes to the Lakers perfect record at home, but said it’s much too early to say whether the Lakers have turned a corner. Of Julius Randle, who finished with 18 points, five rebounds, and four assists, Russell believed Randle has been much more open to his teammates opinions this season and from a players perspective has been very ‘coachable.’

Randle said he’s passed getting caught up in emotions and talks about coming out on top in tonight’s matchup against Tyson Chandler. Randle also explains why he doesn’t use doubters as motivation and what’s been clicking during the Lakers three-game win streak.

Head coach Luke Walton says this team is a lot more mature than people are giving them credit for and their actions show the coaching staff their commitment to improving. Walton also talks about why he assigned Nick Young to Devin Booker and why he loved the fact that Jordan Clarkson was upset that he wasn’t given the defensive assignment to close the game.
