The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to push their win streak to three games when they take on the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night. On Friday, they defeated the Philadelphia 76ers to start the streak, their first of the season. With Kobe Bryant resting an aching shoulder, the Lakers have been kept afloat by strong performances from Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, D’Angelo Russell, and Larry Nance Jr, as well as improved play from veteran big man Brandon Bass.
Meanwhile, the Suns have had a season of turmoil, losing guard Eric Bledsoe for the season to a knee injury and struggling to handle a discontent Markieff Morris. Their record sits at a disappointing 12-24 and coming off a blowout loss to Sacramento last night, the young Lakers will have a real chance to extend their winning streak.
