The Los Angeles Lakers will look to improve upon their 8-30 record when they take on the Utah Jazz on Sunday night. The purple and gold will be a bit short handed, as Kobe Bryant (Achilles), D’Angelo Russell (ankle), and Brandon Bass (eye) will all be out of action. Reserves Tarik Black and Ryan Kelly competed for the Los Angeles D-Fenders earlier in the day, so that will leave head coach Byron Scott with just 10 fresh players on his bench.
The Lakers will look to Lou Williams to continue his hot scoring after he put up a career-high 44 points against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jordan Clarkson will also see plenty of minutes at guard with Russell out, and Julius Randle will need to break out of his slump in order to make up for the loss of Bass.
