The Los Angeles Lakers won their third game in a row last night by taking down the new-look Brooklyn Nets at the Staples Center, 95-90.
The Nets proved to be another tough test for this revamped Lakers squad with Deron Williams and company threatening to pull off the win on the road in the closing minutes.

Fortunately for the Lakers, Kobe Bryant shut the door on the Williams’ hopes of getting victory in Los Angeles with some clutch free-throwing late in the game.
Along with Kobe’s game-high 25 points and another solid performance for Dwight Howard with 23 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks, a few others got in on the action with some impressive numbers. Pau Gasol neared a triple-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists while Metta World Peace finished with 17 points of his own.
World Peace also chipped in with eight boards, two steals and some words for certain Nets players about flopping via Twitter:
what was the best flop tonight?out of the three?i am so happy the nba charges $5000 per flop……

The veteran forward called out two of Brooklyn’s players in particular for flopping:
the refs did a good job on the gerald wallace flops…but they missed the reggie evans flop….its ok.. they will catch the next ones

There’s been no indication from the NBA as of yet in terms of Reggie Evans and Gerald Wallace being fined for flopping during Tuesday night’s game, but it might be something for the league to look into, especially with Evans’ history of flopping in the past with the Los Angeles Clippers.
