Metta World Peace Prepares for Comedy Show

Metta World Peace is taking his talents to the stage.

The outgoing Lakers forward will be taking part in a comedy show tonight from 7:30 to 9:30. World Peace enjoys time under the spotlight and there is no doubt he will shine when it comes time to perform. The Los Angeles Times writes about the comedy show, an idea World Peace came up with while in the shower.

World Peace says the shower is where he gets most of his work done and that’s where the comedy show was created. It’s his alone time and the dream will come to fruition tonight at the Laugh Factory. World Peace will be presenting several comedians and will also be showcasing some of his talent also.

He’s hosting “Comedy Slam Dunk” on Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., a charity driven stand-up at the Laugh Factory where World Peace will introduce comedians, including Tom Arnold, Alex Scott, Malik S and Chris D’Elia.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at RonArtest.com for $30. A portion of the profits made will head over to the Metta Center for Nonviolence and World Peace’s nonprofit Xcel University, two charities aimed to help mental health.

It’s a good thing that World Peace is having fun before the NBA season gets underway. He has been working hard to get back into shape for the upcoming season and great things are expected from Metta World Peace.
