Mike D’Antoni: “We Played With Heart Until We Ran Out Of Gas”

NBA: Oklahoma City Thunder at Los Angeles LakersThe Los Angeles Lakers have fallen bellow .500 after their loss to the Golden State Warriors Saturday night.

Los Angeles was competitive in the first half, but it could not stick with the young and talented Warriors team for much longer. In the third quarter, the Warriors went on a massive run and put the game out of reach for the Lakers. Mike D’Antoni and his coaching staff were already shorthanded and the lack of point guards on the roster did not help at all.

After the game, D’Antoni spoke to the media and talked about what exactly happened in the loss. The coach was pleased with the effort his players gave but saw that they just lost “gas” as the game progressed.

The Warriors held the Lakers to just 15 points in the third quarter and it helped them open up a comfortable lead. Los Angeles will be getting Jordan Farmar back in the lineup soon and even though he is no MVP candidate, his presence on the court will help the team on both ends of the court.
