NBA Announces Punishment for Team and Player Relations

According to ESPN’s Ric Bucher, the NBA league office will fine teams $1 million if they communicate with players after midnight EST Thursday.

The NBA owners told their players earlier today that there will be a lockout starting midnight; this will be the first work stoppage in the NBA since 1998-1999. Both sides will continue to work towards a new Collective Bargaining Agreement, but many believe this lockout will last a very long time.
