The Oklahoman reports that Fisher will sign a one-year deal with the Thunder worth the veteran’s minimum of $1.4 million. Fisher, a fan favorite in Los Angeles, was traded by the team in 2012 as part of the Jordan Hill deal.

Fisher, who traveled to Oklahoma City from Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon to sign the contract, will join the Thunder on the veteran’s minimum, or roughly $1.4 million.

Although Fisher is not someone who will fill up a box score, he is a veteran leader both on and off the court. The point guard can be counted on to make big shots as he has done so throughout his successful career.

The Thunder will be one of the favorites to come out of the Western Conference next season, and Fisher will without a doubt be an integral part to the team’s run.

Fisher won all five of his championships as backcourt partners with Kobe Bryant and at this point, the close friends are battling to see who gets to six rings first.
