NBA News: Derrick Rose Tears Meniscus in Right Knee

Derrick Rose is injured, again.

The Chicago Bulls star underwent an MRI on Saturday and the results show a torn meniscus in his right knee. Rose injured the knee during the Bulls’ game against the Trail Blazers on Friday and it was clear the moment it happened that something was wrong. The point guard tore his ACL during the 2011 playoffs and Bulls fans are hoping this setback will not cost him another full season.

At this point, it is unclear as to how long Rose will be sidelined or what moves he will make in the near future. If Rose decides to reattach the meniscus, it is expected that he misses the remainder of the regular season, but a quicker rehab process can get him back in a month or two albeit with long-term health risks.

The Bulls had title aspirations before this season started, but if their point guard cannot be on the floor, they will be lucky to even make the conference finals.
