Along with New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez also being linked in this scandal while expected to be suspended, or even banned, from baseball as a result, whistle-blower Porter Fischer claims that it’s not only baseball players involved in this scandal. Apparently, players in the NBA are also involved according to T.J. Quinn of ESPN.com:

Fischer said he and associates have identified athletes from the NBA, NCAA, professional boxing, tennis and MMA, in addition to other professional baseball players who have not yet been identified. As far as he knows, Fischer said, Bosch had no clients from the NFL or NHL.

With NBA players set to be linked to this Biogenesis scandal, the speculation has begun to run rampant in terms of which players are directly involved.

Performance-enhancing drugs have not been a major problem in the NBA with the league staying relatively clean in that department up until this point. Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu are the most recent players to be involved with performance-enhancing drugs, but no big-name players like the MLB’s Braun and Rodriguez have been exposed in the NBA as of yet.

Now that Fischer has claimed some NBA players have been using PEDs, the debate will rage on about which players have used or are using to get an edge on the basketball floor. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes and what players are ultimately exposed in this scandal.
