NBA News: New York Knicks Agree To Terms With Metta World Peace

Not even a week after clearing waivers, Metta World Peace has found his new team. The former Los Angeles Laker defensive stopper and new free agent had discussed the possibility of retirement, possibly playing overseas in China, or even attempting to play Arena Football, has now decided to continue to play in the NBA.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Metta World Peace has agreed to a two-year deal with the New York Knicks.

Denver Nuggets v Los Angeles Lakers - Game SevenLast year World Peace was a member of the over-hyped Los Angeles Lakers team that failed miserably last season, but World Peace had a very solid year. He averaged 12.4 points, 5 rebounds and 1.63 steals per game.

World Peace is known around the league as a defensive stopper and a bit of wild card when it comes to his personality off the court. But since joining the Lakers, he has made leaps and bounds to improving himself on and off the court.

World Peace is originally from Queensbridge, New York and will certainly be excited to returning home to finish his career. The Los Angeles Clippers also expressed interest in World Peace but missed out on the sweepstakes.
