NBA News: New York Knicks Officially Sign Forward Lamar Odom
[new_royalslider id=”246″]

The New York Knicks have officially decided to bring in two-time NBA champion Lamar Odom for the rest of the season according to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News:

The move to sign Odom is an interesting one to say the least. Many believe Odom’s basketball career was over after no NBA team signed him earlier in the season and his short stint in Spain didn’t go as planned.

It remains to be seen whether Odom has anything left in the tank after an exhausting year filled with controversy. Odom was constantly surrounded and followed by paparazzi while dealing with rumors of drug use and a pending divorce with reality star Khloe Kardashian.

Odom’s contract with the Knicks is reportedly a two-year deal with the second year non-guaranteed according to Bleacher Report’s Howard Beck:

With Phil Jackson taking control of the Knicks, the former Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls head coach wants familiar faces in New York to help change the culture. The consensus as of right now is that Jackson may attempt to resurrect the triangle offense in New York while bringing in players like Odom to run it.
