NBA News: Vinny Del Negro’s Future With Clippers In Doubt

NBA: Brooklyn Nets at Los Angeles ClippersThe Los Angeles Clippers had perhaps the best season in franchise history in 2012-13, one that included a Pacific Division title and the fourth seed in the Western Conference. However, despite all the regular season success, the Clippers were ousted in the first round of the Playoffs.

Heading into the offseason, the Clippers will try to re-sign Chris Paul for the long term and also decide whether or not to bring back head coach Vinny Del Negro. According to ESPN LA, the Clippers will spend one week before making a decision about Del Negro’s future with the team.

The Los Angeles Clippers plan to spend a week evaluating coach Vinnie Del Negro before making a decision on his future with the team, according to ESPN Los Angeles.

There have been rumblings that the Clippers will go after Phil Jackson, but that is very unlikely because of the ties Jackson has with the Lakers franchise. The Clippers have a very talented roster, but they have unachieved for the most part. The blame has fallen on Del Negro many times in the past, but the front office has always been on his side.

However, that may change this summer as the team looks to make some changes and advance further into the Playoffs next season.
