NBA Released 2011 Pre-Season Schedule

The NBA has announced the official pre-season schedule for the 2011-12 NBA season. While the regular season schedule was released earlier this summer, the pre-season schedule remained under wraps until this week.

The release of the schedule is still somewhat anti-climactic, as the dark cloud of the current lockout is looking ever larger over the NBA.

Many people are getting ready for the lockout to significantly cut into the regular season, so the chance of any pre-season games being played seems unlikely.

Regardless, the Lakers will open the pre-season on October 9 with a game against the Golden State Warriors at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. They will follow that up with two games against the Atlanta Hawks, the Utah Jazz and the Sacramento Kings.

The pre-season will end for the Lakers with two games against their cross-town rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers. They will play one game at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, then once more in the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California.
