NBA Rumors: Sasha Vujacic To Sign With The Los Angeles Clippers?

Sasha Vujacic

Another former member of the last two championship teams for the Los Angeles Lakers may have found a new home. Although Sasha Vujacic has been out of the NBA since the 2010-11 NBA season, the two-time NBA champion may be on the verge of signing with the Los Angeles Clippers according to Brad Turner of the L.A. Times:

If Vujacic does sign with the Clippers, he’ll one of many to play for the Lakers and their division rivals.

Currently, the Clippers have two former Lakers on their roster. Matt Barnes re-signed with the team in the off-season while Antawn Jamison jumped ship over the summer after one season with the Lakers. Darius Morris also played with the Clippers this season after failing to sign on elsewhere, but was recently released after consecutive 10-day contracts.

Needless to say, Vujacic won’t be the first former Laker to sign with the Clippers and may not be the last.

Along with Vujacic potentially finding a new team in the NBA, former Lakers Shannon Brown and Andrew Bynum also signed new deals over the weekend. Brown was signed by the San Antonio Spurs to help fill the void left by the injured Manu Ginobili and Bynum inked a deal with the Indiana Pacers for the rest of the season to bolster their frontcourt during a potential championship run.
