Nick Young Applauds Clippers, Questions Their Playoff Performance

Nick YoungThe Lakers were blown out on Friday night against the Clippers at Staples Center. It was one of the worst losses in franchise history, and the worst beating since 2007 for the Lakers. To make things worse, the team has now lost 10 of their last 11 games, with a victory over cellar-dwelling Utah as the only bright spot.

Following the game, Nick Young, who had a poor performance against the Clippers, talked about LA’s other team’s success in the regular season, but apparently wants to see how the team will do in the postseason.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN Los Angeles, Young asked to see some postseason success from the Clips this summer.

“They always play good during the year. Let’s see how it comes down in the postseason.”

I’m sure this was more out of frustration than anything else, but it’s not like Young is a notoriously successful playoff performer. Regardless, the frustration of all this losing is beginning to pile up as the players admit embarrassment with recent losses.

Young and the Lakers will get three days off before getting back on the court Tuesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
