Along with getting serious with Iggy Azalea by buying Selena Gomez’s old house in Tarzana for the famous couple to reside, the flamboyant Los Angeles Lakers star is doing something that only a privileged few could do. Young is making his very own “shoe house” with two “shoe keepers” to watch over his enormous shoe collection, according to Lee Jenkins of Sports Illustrated:

“The 6,600-square-foot white traditional [Young] recently purchased with Azalea — which used to be owned by singer-actress Selena Gomez — is a monument to his passions. The property, tucked behind a gate in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Tarzana, comes with a detached building that Young is converting into a “shoe house.” He employs not one but two “shoe keepers,” who oversee his 500-plus pairs of sneakers, a collection that includes Vans fitted with roller-skating wheels.”

Last summer, many believed Young was headed elsewhere once he officially became a free agent after deciding not to opt-in to the second year of his deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. Although Young expressed interest in returning to the Lakers with the fans also lobbying for his return, the consensus was he’d find a team ready to pay more than the team would offer.

Fortunately for Young, the Lakers were impressed with his performance in his first season with the team and were willing to pay him for his efforts. Young ended up signing a lucrative four-year deal with the Lakers and will be in Los Angeles for the foreseeable future.

Almost halfway through his second season, Young remains a fan favorite and a bigger star in Los Angeles that he every thought imaginable. Young seems to fit in nicely with the Lakers and likely won’t be going anywhere any time soon.
