Union Chief Billy Hunter wants to gather his player representatives no latter than Tuesday, and will present the new offer to them. “It’s not the greatest proposal in the world, but I have an obligation to at least present it to the membership,” said Hunter.
Derek Fisher said the owners’ proposal did meet some of their concerns, and David Stern said he would return to the 47% of BRI if the union rejects the offer.
Stern did indicate that the current offer will result in a 72-game season which will start on Dec. 15.
As of this point, we just have to wait and see if the players accept this latest proposal.
