Phil Jackson had the luxury of coaching one of the greatest players to ever play in the NBA—that player being Michael Jordan. With Jackson on the bench and Jordan on the floor, the Bulls won six championships in the 1990s. The only other team to win more than one title in the decade was the Houston Rockets. The Rockets won back-to-back titles in ’94 and ’95. However, Phil Jackson believes those titles were tainted because Jordan left basketball for baseball. Jackson went on to say that if Jordan had played for the entire 1990s, the Rockets would never have won those championships.

LakersNation Comment of the Day
Suki Thind on Facebook: “Nope…I agree Mike Conley shouldn’t be getting 28 points, but guys like Deron Williams and Chris Paul are going to get their numbers. It’s almost impossible to stop those guys. The problem is our big guys defending. Pau has been tired, and he let layups go uncontested against Indiana at the end of the game. We just need Bynum back so he can solidify the paint and not let any easy layups happen. Even on one leg, his presence alters those shots.”
