There has been a lot written and said about Kobe’s Achilles injury that he sustained last Friday night following a game with the Golden State Warriors. In situations like this, fans often look for reasons and explanations for why the injury occurred in the first place.

Recently, a lot has been made of Kobe’s heavy minute load and whether or not that had something to do with the injury he suffered.

We asked Lakers Nation’s fans what they felt about the situation, and whether or not D’Antoni’s decision to allow Kobe to play so many minutes played a role in the injured Achilles. The results were somewhat surprising.

While the majority still believes D’Antoni’s rotations had something to do with Bryant’s injury, it’s interesting that there is 45 percent of fans that disagree. Since so many people have been quick to criticize D’Antoni this season, the percentage wasn’t exactly what I was expecting.

Regardless, the Lakers must move forward without Bryant, and will look to clinch a playoff spot Wednesday night against the Houston Rockets.
