Ramon Sessions Continues to Deal With Injured Shoulder

With Kobe Bryant out of commission for the Lakers the last few games, it has been up to Andrew Bynum and the rest of the supporting cast to carry the Lakers to victory. So far in Bryant’s absence the Lakers have gone 2-1, and have seen some impressive performances from Bynum and Metta World Peace.

However, point guard Ramon Sessions hasn’t thrived as much without Bryant, in part due to a sore shoulder. According to Kevin Ding of the O.C. Register, Sessions is still dealing with a sore shoulder that he injured earlier this season, and it held him back in the team’s recent win over San Antonio.

“Sessions left with 3:05 to play in the third quarter but did return for the final 6:30 of the game. He was subdued down the stretch with the Lakers holding a big lead, attempting just one field-goal and getting just one assist.”

The team didn’t need much from Sessions against the Spurs, as they built a large lead in the third quarter and never looked back. Still, they will need Sessions as the post-season gets closer, so just like with Bryant, the team may benefit from having him take a few extra minutes off as the regular season winds down.
