Shootaround Report: Lakers Look To Get A Win In Phoenix

NBA: Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix SunsThe Lakers are back at it tonight in Phoenix, as they’ll take on the Suns prior to the anticipated Christmas Day matchup against the Miami Heat. Though the Lakers have been struck with a multitude of injuries of the course of this season, this team has still managed to hover around the .500 mark. That within itself is very impressive, given the circumstances they are in.

Fortunately, the Lakers will get Pau Gasol back in the starting lineup tonight against the Suns after he missed the Lakers last game due to illness.  The Lakers will still be without some their three rotation point guards, and it is certain that we’ll continue to say Xavier Henry, Jodie Meeks, and Nick Young split minutes at that position.

In the Lakers and Suns first matchup on December 10, the Suns ousted the Lakers by six points, as Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic had field days. Tonight it’s going to be no easier, as the Lakers still lack depth issues at that guard position. Hopefully they can figure it out and get a win so they can get back to .500 before the big matchup on Christmas against the defending champs.
