[new_royalslider id=”52″] After losing three straight games with Kobe in the lineup, the Lakers were finally able to get a victory when they defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 88-85 this past Saturday. Kobe Bryant has been looking better and better as he continues to adjust to playing off surgery on his Achilles. Against the Bobcats, he scored 21 points on an efficient eight for 15 from the field. He also managed to grab seven rebounds and dish out eight assists.

After the game Kobe mentioned to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell that he’s getting closer to being the player that he wants to be. Part of Kobe’s struggle in easing back on the basketball court is having to play the point guard position. It’s not his natural position, and he’s really struggled in particular with turning over the ball. Fortunately, the Lakers received some good news today that it looks like Jordan Farmar could be returning sooner than expected.

Tonight, the Lakers will be looking to get a win on the road in Atlanta, and get back to the .500 mark. For more coverage, check out the Lakers Nation preview for tonights game.
