We here at Lakers Nation know that Fantasy Basketball is a huge part of the culture in being a fan of the NBA. So for those of you that are currently in a league, and looking for some ways to improve your team, we’ve put together a list of players you should consider picking up this week to make your team that much better.
Point Guards
Kirk Hinrich – With Derrick Rose slated to miss the remainder of the 2013-2014 season, Hinrich is a must-grab if he’s available in your fantasy league. He’s sure to get a pretty big spike in his minutes, and will contribute in assists, steals, and three-pointers.
Trey Burke – The rookie point guard made his debut on the NBA stage a week ago, and has not looked bad so far. He’s going to be expected to get the majority of the starting minutes moving forward, as the Jazz are trying to develop their young core.

Trending down: Deron Williams, Derrick Rose
Shooting Guards
Rodney Stuckey – Stuckey has been playing a lot of shooting guard lately, and hasn’t disappointed. Over his last five games he’s been able to give owners 16 points, three rebounds, and three assists in a reserve role. He’s a valued pick-up in deep leagues.
Gerald Green – The athletic guard is having a career year, averaging 15 points a game while grabbing three rebounds. One surprising area of growth in Green’s game has been his ability to knock down shots from behind the arc, as he’s making 2.6 three-pointers a game.

Trending down: Manu Ginobili, Bradley Beal
Small Forward
Harrison Barnes – News just came in that Andre Iguodala is going to be out at least three games, so if Barnes is available in your league go get him! He’s a solid contributor in points, rebounds, steals, and threes.
Caron Butler – Caron exploded for a 38-point effort last week against the Sixers, and is slotted in at the starting small forward position for the Bucks. Anyone looking for some points, rebounds, and assists can take a chance on Butler for a night, as he’s proven that he can give you a pretty solid performance.

Trending down: Paul Pierce
Power Forward
Nene – The veteran big man has been very productive over the last week. When healthy, he’s a good source for points, rebounds, and field goal percentage.
Terrence Jones – The Asik situation in Houston has allowed Jones to flourish alongside Dwight Howard, and he’s taken full advantage of his opportunity.
Trending up: Glen Davis, Josh McRoberts
Trending down: Amir Johnson
Center
Jared Sullinger – Sullinger had been averaging 14.3 points per game in his four game stretch as a starter, his production is on the rise, and he’s a guy you should take a look at if you need a center that can score, rebound, and occasionally knock down a three-pointer.
Jordan Hill – Since being placed in the starting lineup alongside Pau Gasol, Hill has been going on a tear and his stock has been soaring. Most recently he posted career highs of 24 points and 17 rebounds in one game, and now that his minutes have increased to around 33 minutes a night as a starter.

Trending down: Andrea Bargnani
