Sources: Lakers Pull Out of Deal for Chris Paul

Even though David Stern vetoed the first deal that would have brought Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers, the teams involved in the trade did not let the deal die down. However, despite several hours of work, it seems as though Chris Paul will not come to the Lakers.

Sources tell ESPN that the Lakers-Paul deal is dead and that the Lakers will be trading Lamar Odom into Mavericks’ new trade exception.

Some are speculating that the Lakers will now put their focus on Dwight Howard. Only time will tell us whether or not Howard will end up with the Lakers.
