Los Angeles and Boston has seen some very talented trios over the years, with the most famous ones coming in the golden ages of the 1980s. In fact, no other trio besides those on the Lakers and Celtics has reached the NBA Finals more than three times.

That was until Monday night.

After the San Antonio Spurs beat the Grizzlies to advance to the NBA Finals, the trio of Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker made the final stage of the NBA Playoffs for an an impressive fourth time.

The Spurs franchise has not received the credit it deserves over the years, but as it gears up for a fifth title run, the league is beginning to realize just how legendary the team and its players actually are.

San Antonio will meet either the Miami Heat or Indiana Pacers in the Finals, which are set to begin next week.
