The Lakers will complete their preseason campaign on Friday night against the Utah Jazz. For many on the team, they’ll use the night to fight for roster spots or to move up in Mike D’Antoni’s rotation. However, for others, it’ll be a night used to rest ailing injuries or sicknesses.

Steven Nash has been dealing with neck and ankle issues while Kaman has been out with a stomach issue sine the team has returned from their trip to China. Kaman wasn’t at practice today and didn’t play in the Lakers win over the Jazz this past Tuesday.
Last season, injuries was a huge issue, and both Kaman and Nash have dealt with their fair share during the course of their respective careers — especially now that they’re increasing in age. Maintaining health has been a theme for D’Antoni all preseason, electing to sit guys who were questionable and sacrificing preseason wins to rest starters late in games.
Nash’s ankle and Neck injuries don’t seem like issues that will linger, but the team is looking to take every precaution to ensure he’s ready to go by the start of the season.
