In episode four of Grantland’s The Finish Line, Nash reconnects with former teammate in Dallas Mavericks superstar Dirk Nowitzki. The two future Hall of Famers talked about his what it might’ve been like had they continued playing together in Dallas rather than Nash leaving for the Phoenix Suns back in 2004.

Nash also asked his good friend and former teammate what he’d do in his position with the end drawing near. The two-time NBA MVP posed the question to Nowitzki on whether he’d come back next season considering the circumstances that Nash is currently dealing with. Nowitzki was hesitant at first, but ultimately said he wasn’t sure if he’d be able to do it considering everything that Nash has gone through just to stay on the floor.
