Steve Nash Hopes to Return Within Two Weeks

The Los Angeles Lakers have been without star point guard Steve Nash since Halloween and they have been struggling to get productivity out of the point guard position ever since.

The Lakers desperately need Nash back in the lineup, especially in this Mike D’Antoni offense. The system requires an elite point guard like Steve Nash and he has had a lot of experience playing for this coach. Nash got hurt while Mike Brown was still running the sidelines, so no one has yet to see this Nash/D’Antoni reunion.

According to the Los Angeles Daily News, Nash has an rough estimate of 10-14 days for his return to the court.

“Another 10 days to two weeks?” Nash wondered aloud. “That’s a total guess. Since I can’t run, I’m not going to play this week.”

“The recovery time is getting better,” Nash said. “But it’s a small improvement.”

Nash has a non-displaced fracture in his left leg and the rehab process has been taking quite some time. At the age of 38 Nash’s body does not heal as quickly as it used to, meaning the Lakers must take extra care in the process. They cannot rush anything when it comes to his knee injury or else it will have dire consequences down the road.
